We are a nonprofit artist-run space focusing on emerging, queer and social matters. Our mission is to achieve full expression, maintain sustainable processes and act as a refuge for those in need. 

Grants barely cover a third of our budget, and so we continuously scramble to find ways to finance our program for the year. We are experimenting with alternative financial channels, but a non-profit with our focus and goal can’t really generate income. Despite all efforts to maintain fair working conditions, it’s at times hard to believe we still have the strength to keep going. With your contribution, we will keep serving as a shelter for safe expression and getting together, for reflecting the current world, whilst also co-creating a new one.

Our goal was never just to present art. Through the show „Hello my name is” we brought forth the topics of young queer artists, through its transformation into a 24/7 overnight shelter, we then provided asylum to people from Ukraine. With the „Festival of Queer Knowledge“ we created a platform for meeting and sharing of queer theory, through the Zine „Say my name“ we provide basic resources and information for queer people living in Czechia. Through “As We Grow” we create a space for beginning artists to grow together. Art is a medium for us to achieve these goals

Staying afloat financially, staff-wise, and humanly is sometimes quite a challenge in our position. But with your contribution, we will be able to continue to function as a shelter for safe expression and gathering, for reflecting on the crises of the current World and co-creating the new one. As a nonprofit with our focus and purpose, we don‘t expect miracles. But you can help us by getting involved in the operations of the space. We welcome volunteering.
